I’m a Kentucky-based journalist and narrative storyteller who specializes in healthcare, tech in rural places, and anything that affects the ways we eat.

My reported stories can be found in Offrange, WebMD, Wired, Teen Vogue, TIME, Scientific American, and more.

A Kentucky native, I traveled to Denmark as a Fulbright Scholar in food policy and worked at a biotech company as a food scientist before realizing writers were having all of the real fun.

Now a graduate of NYU’s science, health, and environmental reporting program you can find me chasing scientists, farmers, chefs and coders around Appalachia and beyond in search of good news.
